ASHRAM GUIDELINES
WELCOME TO DEVIPURAM
You are at the abode of Śrī Śrī Śrī Sahasrākṣī Raja Rājeśwarī Devī. This Ashram has been carefully nurtured over the years by our Pūjya Guruji, Śrī Amṛtānanda Nātha Saraswatī and Ammā, to create a sustainable and harmonious atmosphere for people / sādhakas to come and learn about Śrī Vidyā. The following are some Ashram guidelines we would like you to understand and follow.
OFFICE
Timings 9.30am to 6.00pm
- Every resident visitor is required to furnish their necessary particulars in the form given along with xerox copies as necessary. Foreign nationals will have to provide a copy of the passport and valid visa.
- Please pay in advance for the days you propose to stay on the day you arrive and settle the entire bill the day before you leave (including any rituals /services availed as guided by the office).
- Please collect receipts for all payments.
- You may purchase books, CDs, and Merus that are kept at the office.
- While at Devipuram, please keep the office informed about your whereabouts. You are advised not to go uninformed to lonely places or nearby villages especially during nights as snakes and scorpions roam around.
- If you want to go out of the campus for any items, please take guidance from the office only.
TEMPLES AND ASHRAM
Timings: 6.30 am to 6.30 pm
- You have come here for Sādhana. Be focused on it. You may pursue your Sādhana in the Sādhanalaya opposite the Śrī Yantra Mahā Meru, after informing the office of the same.
- If you would like to take Dīksha into our Śrī Vidyā tradition and lineage or take blessings of Ammā, please contact the office. The date and timings for the same will be informed.
- Temple rituals and timings are available at the office. Please visit as per the timings only. Morning prayer is at 6.30 am and Evening Aarati at 6.30 pm.
- All the temples at Devipuram are unique and we request you to take time to understand the purpose behind the construction and the rituals being followed here.
- It is not permitted to go to the temples after the closing hours.
- You may observe, in silence, the rituals being performed at temples, and be seated at indicated places only.
- The Digambara idols in the temples are meant to be worshipped. Please refrain from posing or taking awkward photographs.
- You may obtain good quality pictures at the Office.
- We welcome your questions directed towards learning and understanding more. Please address such questions at the office and we will guide you accordingly.
ROOMS
- Rooms are allotted to visitors of the ashram or Śrī Vidyā Course participants.
- Please keep the doors locked when you are not in the room. Your belongings are your responsibility. Do not leave valuables lying around.
- Housekeeping staff are available to clean the rooms from 9.30 to 6 pm- Please coordinate the timing and ensure this is done when you are in the room.
- The bed linen is changed once in 2 days.
- Please switch off lights, geyser, A/C, and fan after use.
- Please make sure all the taps are closed after use, and do inform us of any faulty faucets.
- There is a washing machine available to wash your clothes. Please inform before using.
- Śrī Villa is equipped to run on both Solar as well as grid power. We request you to use power judiciously.
- The gates are locked at 10.00pm. If you are going out, please return by that time or keep us informed of delay.

ŚRĪ VILLA DINING:
- Pure vegetarian food is served . Non-veg food is not allowed anywhere on the campus.

- Food is to be eaten in the dining area only.
- Please wash your plate, glass, and any other utensil used after eating.
- Do let us know if you have any special requirements- we shall try our best to cater to it.
- Please do not feed the cats/dogs as they are taken care of separately. They are not domesticated and may carry germs and diseases. You are advised to wash hands in case you happen to touch them.
- Food is regarded as “Parabrahma swarūpam”. Please do not waste it.

DRESS:
- It is advisable to follow the culture of the place to avoid facing embarrassing situations with the temple and Ashram visitors. Women may wear Sari/ Kurta and Salwar or Chudidar/long tops with Palazzos or Long skirts. Jeans may be worn by exception.
- Men may dress in Kurta/dhoti/ pyjama OR Shirts/ dhoti/trouser/jeans
RITUALS:
- We perform different types of Havans and Pujas, which you may like to sponsor as guided by office.
GENERAL
- Alcohol/ Drug / Cigarette consumption is not permitted in and around the campus.
- The nearest reliable ATMs are 5 km away in Sabbavaram, 13km away in Anakapalle. Foreign exchange outlets are available in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) 30km away.
- When in the Ashram / dining area please refrain from loud discussions or such acts that could cause disturbance to others and mar the peace of the place.
- Please do not tip any of the ashram staff or any of the vendors.
The administration reserves the right to allot or refuse allotment or ask any occupant to leave without assigning any reasons.
