Guruji Demonstrates 10 Mudrās

Guruji Demonstrates 10 Mudrās

We are going to show the 10 mudrās:

The 4th one is called blūṁ.

And the 5th one is called saḥ.

Observe carefully. I’m holding little finger with the middle finger.

Join these two ring fingers and index fingers. This is called saḥ.

So once again this is:

drāṁ

drīṁ

klīṁ

blūṁ

Holding little fingers with the middle fingers, saḥ

Open your index fingers and turn them in like this, it becomes kroṁ

Then invert your hands and do a yoni mudrā that’s called hskhphre

Then this is called hsau

Then this is called a yonī mudrā, I’ll do it again. Put your middle fingers inside and put this little finger between these two fingers and hold the ring fingers with the index fingers like this and then bring these two index fingers out into the space between these two and put thumbs also in. This is called sarva-yonī mudrā.

So here there are three lingams and three yonis,

this is one lingam and one yoni,

this is one lingam and one yoni,

and this is one yoni and this is a lingam consisting of a four petalled lotus, the Mūlādhāra chakra.

This yoni here and these four fingers represent the Mūlādhāra and Svādhiṣṭhāna chakras,

Maṇipura and Anāhata

Viśuddhi and Ājñā

and all these chakras together are called the Sahasrāra chakra.

So it contains all 7 chakras in it.

This is called sarva-yonī mudrā.

The same mudrā, with the hands reversed is called khecarī mudrā.

So that you can see, I’m taking my hands like this and then doing the yoni mudrā. It’s called sarva-khecarī mudrā. You can see the four petalled lotus inside, the two other lingams and their yonis. But the hands are reversed.

So we’ll repeat this whole process.

So this is drāṁ, sabda.

drīṁ sparśa

klīṁ, rupa

blūṁ rasa

saḥ gandha

kroṁ ankuśa mudrā

hskhphre yoni mudrā with the reversed hands

hsau

And this sarva-yonī mudrā – ai

After the 9 mudras are shown to Devi, she will come back to the disciple saying that I will be your Guru and you can worship me in all the ways, this is called trikhaṇḍa mudrā.

Before we pull these little fingers in, we keep them out and open your hands like this and it becomes three fold mudrā. This is called sarva-trikhaṇḍa mudrā. First khanda, 2nd khanda and 3rd khanda.  When we invoke Devi we use a white flower here, a yellow flower here and a red flower here. And put all three colored flowers in here and we say  hsraiṁ, open the white flower, hsrklīṁ, open the yellow flower and hsrsau open the red flower and let it fall in the chakra. And having said the invocation mantra we say hsraiṁ, hsrklīṁ, hsrsau then (invocation), so saying we invoke the Devi.

What's your reaction?
